Some Call it Science. We Call it Magic.

In 1991, Citrus Magic® set out to do something extraordinary - transform the way we think about freshness & odor elimination. Using nature as the better way to scent your life.

Meet Our
Owner & Founder

Hank Picken isn’t just the founder of Citrus Magic - he’s the spark that started it all back in 1991. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Hank took the grit and determination he honed in the military and channeled it into building a better-for-you brand that actually makes life smell amazing. His mission? Kick harsh chemicals to the curb and let the power of citrus shine. Thanks to Hank’s bold vision, Citrus Magic has been spreading fresh vibes and zesty joy for over three decades, and we’re just getting started!

Why Citrus?

From day one, we’ve been committed to crafting safe, nature-based ingredients that are free from most harsh chemicals. Whether it’s freshening the air after a dinner party, tackling stubborn pet odors, or discovering your personality through scent, our products go beyond just smelling great. They actually work because of our main ingredient, citrus.

Citrus is nature’s odor eliminating magician that actually eliminates odors because the compounds in citrus are chemically active against odor molecules. It vanishes them at the source rather than just masking them with a stronger scent.

How it Works on Odors?

CHEMICAL
NEUTRALIZATION

Citrus oils neutralize odors by using reactive compounds to oxidize or bind with foul-smelling molecules aka VOC compounds, transforming them into neutral or pleasantly scented substances.

SOLUBILIZING
ODOR MOLECULES

Citrus oils are natural solvents. They can dissolve oily or greasy residues that trap odor molecules, helping to lift them off surfaces or fabrics so they can be washed away.

MICROBIAL
CONTROL

Some odors come from bacteria or mold. Citrus essential oils have antimicrobial properties, which can kill or inhibit odor-causing microbes, preventing the smell from regenerating.

Ingredients Straight from the Orchard

We believe in the power of nature. Every product we create is thoughtfully designed with safe, better-for-you, and transparent ingredients, either straight from the orchard to bring a breath of fresh air into your home or designed with powerful, safe* odor eliminators like vegetable-based enzymes, probiotics, or DEOessence® Technology.

Because you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your home smell to harsh toxins and chemical fumes.

We didn’t stop at better-for-you. Our citrus oils come from upcycled orange peels rescued from OJ makers - because fresh choices shouldn’t create waste. How’s that for making life smell sweeter?

At Citrus Magic, our vision is to lead the air care industry to a new standard. We envision an air care future where nature replaces chemicals, transparency replaces mystery, and freshness becomes a safer, brighter, more magical part of everyday life.
